This version of the Gardena Sileno minimo is rated for lawns up to 5,400 sq ft, about 500 m², twice the area of the smaller minimo 250. It keeps the quiet 57 dB(A) noise level and adds Auto-Schedule and EasyConfig in the Bluetooth app. At a listed 5.99 kg it is also very light. It suits a small to medium lawn with some complexity, owned by someone who wants a robot that is easy to set up and barely audible.

Our take
Mulching as standard
Like all robot mowers, it cuts little and often and leaves the fine clippings on the lawn. Gardena explains the benefit: the clippings shade the soil, help it hold moisture and break down into fertiliser. In a dry British summer that matters, as a lawn mulched daily tends to stay greener for longer than one where clippings are collected.
App and scheduling
Control is through the Bluetooth EasyApp. Auto-Schedule works out a mowing plan for you, and EasyConfig handles setup. Gardena describes the cut as even and free of streaks. Bluetooth means you need to be near the mower to make changes, so this is not a robot for checking from the office.
Terrain and weather
The slope rating is 25%, the lowest among the small garden robots we compare. A lawn that rises steeply from the house would be better served by the Gardena Sileno City at 35%. The minimo keeps mowing in rain or shine and cuts all lawn shapes within the boundary wire, including narrow spaces and tight corners. Cutting height runs from 20 mm to 45 mm over five positions, and Amazon lists a battery average life of 65 minutes.
In the box and caveats
Gardena supplies the mower with its base, a charging station tower, low voltage cable, power supply, a ruler for laying the wire, connectors, couplers, loop wire, stakes and a manual. This is the US listing, model 15202-41, with measurements in square feet, so confirm the power supply suits UK sockets before buying. The Worx Landroid WR130E is a wired alternative with app control from anywhere, for lawns up to 300 m².
Verdict
Choose this Sileno minimo for a flat or gently sloping lawn of up to about 500 m² where low noise and light weight count. Check the plug first. If your garden slopes more steeply, the Gardena Sileno City handles 35%, and if you want remote Wi-Fi control, look at the Worx Landroid WR130E or WR142E.
