Cordless mowers
Battery rotary mowers are quiet, start at a button press and need no cable. Choose by cutting width, cutting height range, a rear roller for stripes and the battery platform you already own.
- Typical width
- 32 to 46 cm
- Run time
- Follows watt-hours (V x Ah)

A wider deck mows a lawn in fewer passes, but it is heavier and needs more room to store. Around 32 to 37 cm suits small lawns, 40 to 46 cm suits medium ones.
A rear roller bends the grass after the cut and gives the light and dark stripes of a classic British lawn. Self drive helps on larger or sloping lawns.
Run time follows the battery's watt-hours: volts multiplied by amp-hours. Two 18 V batteries in a 36 V mower with 5 Ah packs hold 180 Wh.
