Trimming and edging in one
Most string trimmers can edge if you rotate the head, but doing so freehand gives a wobbly line. The edger wheel on this model supports the head as you walk along the border, so the cut stays at a steady depth. The listing says the conversion takes seconds and needs no tools.
Line and feed
The head runs a single 1.65 mm line with automatic feed, so fresh line comes out as it wears rather than needing to be tapped on the ground. The second item in the bundle is three spare double line spools, each with 4.8 m of 1.65 mm line for 14.4 m in total. Greenworks lists them as compatible with the G40LT family of trimmers.
A single line spins one cutting end, so it removes grass a little more slowly than a dual line head in thick growth.
Shaft, battery and comfort
The shaft is telescopic, adjusting to the user's height, and Greenworks describes the design as compact and comfortable to hold over long stretches. Choose the Greenworks 40V 33 cm if neat lawn edges matter and you want a battery, charger and spare line in one box. For thicker growth the Bosch AdvancedGrassCut 36 and its dual line head is a better fit, and EGO 56V owners will get a wider cut from the EGO ST1510T.
