Our take
The mower
The 33 cm deck is driven by a brushless motor, which Einhell says gives longer operating times with no mechanical wear. Five central height settings run from 25 mm to 65 mm. The long handle adjusts to three heights, and the 30 L grass box has a fill level indicator so you know when to empty it.
The housing is impact-resistant plastic, and Einhell says it copes with dense growth and overgrown areas. Large wheels are described as gentle on the lawn, helpful on uneven ground and good for cutting close to the edge.
Three batteries in practice
With one battery covering up to 200 m², a typical small lawn needs only one pack per cut. The other two can run an Einhell trimmer, hedge cutter or drill. The twin pack batteries have a three-level LED charge display and Einhell's battery management system, which monitors the cells and adapts charging to extend their life.
Power X-Change is a wide range, so the spare packs are unlikely to sit idle if you own other Einhell tools.
Where it falls short
Two hundred square metres is the lowest rating among the small garden mowers, so it really is for compact lawns. The listing gives no weight or folding storage details, and it does not say whether mulching is possible, so anyone who prefers to leave clippings on the lawn should confirm that before ordering.
