This Greenworks mower is aimed at the owner of an ordinary suburban lawn who wants to unbox one kit and start cutting. It runs two 24 V 4 Ah batteries in series for 48 V, and both packs plus a twin charger come in the box. Greenworks rates it for lawns up to 440 m² per charge. What sets it apart is that complete package on a 41 cm brushless deck, without needing to own any batteries beforehand.

Our take
How the 48 V setup works
Rather than one large battery, the mower takes two 24 V packs at once. The listing describes these as new generation lithium cells and says they work in any Greenworks 24V tool or garden machine. That means the same pair could later run a Greenworks 24V trimmer or blower, though they will not fit tools from other brands.
Power goes to a brushless motor, which Greenworks pitches for reliability, low maintenance and a longer working life. Amazon lists a battery average life of 60 minutes, which lines up with the 440 m² figure for a single charge of both packs.
Cutting, collecting and mulching
Six cutting heights run from 30 mm to 80 mm. That upper limit suits a longer summer lawn, while 30 mm is a sensible floor for most domestic grass. Clippings can go into a 40 L bag, out of the side, or be mulched back into the turf.
Side discharge is worth having on a first cut of the year, when long wet grass would otherwise clog the bag quickly. Mulching saves trips to the compost heap once the lawn is under control.
Handling and storage
Amazon lists a weight of 16.5 kg, which is manageable to lift into a shed or car boot. The rear wheels measure 20.32 cm across, larger than the 18 cm wheels on the Greenworks 40V 41 cm model, and bigger wheels ride more easily over bumpy ground. The top handle folds down for storage. Some assembly is required on delivery, according to the listing.
There is no self drive. On a flat lawn that hardly matters at this weight, but a steep bank will be more work than with the Hayter Harrier 48 AD.
Against its neighbours
The Greenworks 40V 41 cm mower has the same deck width and a slightly higher 500 m² rating, but it ships with smaller 2 Ah batteries and a 50 L bag. The 48V model's 4 Ah packs give more energy per battery, and the 3 year guarantee with a 2 year battery warranty is clearly stated. For lawns well past 500 m², the Makita DLM462PT4 is rated much higher but is more than twice the weight.
Verdict
Buy it if your lawn is under about 440 m², reasonably flat, and you want a ready-to-run kit with a fair warranty. Pick the Makita DLM462PT4 instead for a very large plot, or the Hayter Harrier 48 AD if a slope makes self drive worth the extra weight.
