The Landroid WR142E sits in the middle of Worx's wired range and covers lawns up to 700 m², with a stated maximum of 800 m². It mows slopes up to 35%, works in the rain and connects to Wi-Fi for control from anywhere. For a typical suburban back garden it is a well rounded choice, and its add-on modules let you expand it later rather than paying for everything up front.

Our take
Connectivity and smart scheduling
The Landroid app works on phones and tablets, and the listing adds compatibility with Alexa and Google Home. Worx says the mower analyses your lawn and adapts its programme to size, shape and growth speed, and a weather connection adjusts mowing cycles to the pace of growth. Cloud connection brings automatic software updates. You can even measure your lawn in the app before buying to check it fits the rating.
Cutting and coverage
An 18 cm cutting disc trims grass daily, which Worx says thickens the sward and discourages weeds. Cut to Edge technology lets it mow up to the lawn border. AIA navigation makes smart turns in narrow and complex passages. Multi-zone management lets you set separate areas, such as a front and back lawn, and programme each. The listing lists a minimum cut of 30 mm, but the maximum shown is unclear.
Installation and add-ons
Installation uses a peripheral wire, pegged to the ground and connected to the charging station. The box includes 150 m of wire, 210 pegs, spare blades and screws, and a charger. Amazon lists the weight at 8.8 kg and a battery life of 60 minutes.
Optional modules are sold separately: ACS anti-collision, an alarm, a GPS and GSM tracker, a long range Wi-Fi module, and Off Limits for no-go areas without moving the wire. The Power Share battery fits Worx 20V tools. Registering online within 30 days gives a 3 year warranty.
How it sits in the range
The Worx Landroid WR130E is the smaller sibling for 300 m². The Worx Landroid WR147E covers 1,000 m² but gives no slope rating. The Gardena Sileno minimo 500 is quieter but controlled only by Bluetooth.
Verdict
Buy the WR142E for a lawn of up to 700 m² with gentle slopes if you want Wi-Fi control and room to add modules later. A smaller lawn is well served by the Worx Landroid WR130E, while the Worx Landroid Vision Cloud is the pick for steeper ground with no wire at all.
