This is the widest mower in the line-up, and it drives itself. Greenworks gives it a 60 V brushless motor, rear wheel drive with adjustable pace, LED headlights and two 4 Ah batteries with a dual port charger. It suits a large lawn where fewer passes and less pushing matter more than a compact footprint. One caution runs through everything: the listing reads like a US market product.

Good to know

Our take
Drive and deck width
The cutting width is listed as 20.28 inches, about 51 cm. Every extra centimetre cuts the number of passes on a long lawn, and on a big plot the time saving adds up. Rear wheel drive is the better layout for a mower with a bag, because the weight of the clippings sits over the driven wheels and keeps traction as it fills.
You can change speed on the move, which helps when you slow down around trees or speed up on open runs. The listing says this helps on slopes and in thick grass.
Four modes and lights
Greenworks calls it 4-in-1: mulch, bag, side discharge and a turbo leaf pickup mode. Leaf pickup turns the mower into an autumn tidy-up tool for lawns under deciduous trees. The LED headlights are pitched for mowing at dawn or dusk, which some owners will value on short winter evenings for a final cut.
Cutting height runs from about 25 mm to 100 mm over seven positions, so it covers both a tight spring cut and a longer summer lawn.
Plugs, warranty and runtime
The title uses inches and talks about gas mowers, and the charger and warranty terms are those of the US listing. The four year tool and four year battery warranty it mentions may not apply in the UK, so check plug type and warranty cover with the seller. Runtime is given as 45 minutes rather than a lawn area, and Greenworks says the batteries fit more than 75 of its 60V tools. Amazon lists the weight at 29.5 kg and assembly is required.
Next to the Hayter and the Makita
The Hayter Harrier 48 AD is also self-propelled but heavier, narrower and capped at 60 mm cut height, with a rear roller for stripes that this Greenworks lacks. The Makita DLM462PT4 has a quoted 1,900 m² rating and four batteries, but no drive. If speed across open grass is the priority, the Greenworks has the edge.
Verdict
Pick it for a large, open lawn where width and self drive save the most time, and where leaf pickup earns its keep in autumn. Buyers who want clear UK warranty terms should look at the Makita DLM462PT4, and anyone after a striped finish will be happier with the Hayter Harrier 48 AD.
