The Mammotion Yuka 1500 does two jobs. It is a wire-free robot mower for lawns up to 1,500 m², and it can also sweep leaves, small twigs and clippings into a collector, then empty itself at a spot you choose. For a UK garden with trees that drop leaves every autumn, that second job is the reason to look at it. It suits large, busy lawns rather than tidy small ones.

In its favour
- A 320 mm dual disc cut is wider than most robots here, so it covers ground quickly.
- The maker says it can sweep leaves and small twigs and empty itself, useful in a UK autumn.
- Up to 10 mowing zones with passages and no-go areas can be set in the app.
Good to know
- At 15.6 kg and 64 x 52 cm it needs wider passages than slim robots.
- The listing does not say whether an RTK antenna has to be installed, so check setup needs with Mammotion.
Our take
Navigation and mapping
Mammotion combines RTK satellite positioning with a binocular 3D vision system. The listing says this fusion copes in yards with many obstacles and is independent of lighting and signal strength, with centimetre positioning. Enhanced RTK can link over home Wi-Fi or 4G, though the listing text is cut off before explaining antenna setup, so confirm installation needs with Mammotion.
Cutting and zones
A dual-disc design with a floating disc cuts a 320 mm path, wider than most robots here. Height ranges from 20 mm to 90 mm, and dynamic adjustment is meant to keep the cut even over changing terrain. It can make up to three extra passes along edges, each one closer to the border.
In the app you can set up to 10 mowing regions, link them with channels, and give each its own schedule, mode and height. No-go zones keep it out of beds, play areas and pools.
Obstacles and safety
A front AI binocular camera and a rear RGB camera recognise more than 100 object types across a 116 degree field of view. A U-shaped bumper covering 270 degrees detects hard objects as a physical backup. It is rated for slopes up to 45%.
Size and comparisons
Amazon lists it at 15.6 kg and 64 by 52 cm, so passages between lawn areas need to be wide enough for its body. The Ecovacs Goat O1000 RTK is slimmer and suits narrower gaps. The Husqvarna Automower 315 matches the area rating but needs a wire. Neither offers the Yuka's sweeping. The listing also gives no battery runtime or noise figure, so if quiet running near a patio matters, ask Mammotion for the numbers before ordering.
Verdict
Pick the Yuka 1500 for a large, wire-free lawn where autumn leaves are a regular chore. Gardens with tight passages are better served by the slimmer Ecovacs Goat O1000 RTK, and very steep plots by the four wheel drive Worx Landroid Vision Cloud.
