How the 500 m² figure is made up

Each battery is rated to cut 250 m², and two are included, so the 500 m² total relies on stopping to swap. The listing frames it as one battery in use and one on charge. On a lawn of 300 m², expect one swap per session; on a 500 m² lawn, plan to use both packs completely.

Two amp hour cells at 40 V hold less energy than the twin 4 Ah 24 V packs in the Greenworks 48V 41 cm kit, which is why the per-battery area is modest. The upside is that the packs fit any Greenworks 40V tool, from trimmers to blowers.

Cutting and grass collection

A single lever raises the blades through five heights from 25 mm to 80 mm. The 50 L bag is large for a 41 cm mower, so emptying stops are fewer. Mulching is offered as the alternative to collecting. Unlike the 48V model, the listing does not mention side discharge, which can matter for a very overgrown first cut.

Wheels, handle and the bundled spools

The rear wheels are 18 cm, and the top handle folds down so the mower takes less shed space. The listing does not give a weight.

The second item in the bundle is a set of three double line spools carrying 1.65 mm nylon line, 4.8 m each and 14.4 m in total. They suit the G40LT trimmer and are of no use for any other model, so treat them as a bonus only if that strimmer is already in your shed.

Who should look elsewhere

If you want fewer swaps, the Greenworks 48V 41 cm mower has bigger batteries and side discharge, though its rating is a little lower at 440 m². For a smaller lawn where storage space is tight, the Husqvarna Aspire LC34 folds flatter and hangs on a wall.
