The Worx Landroid Vision Cloud is built for gardens that defeat ordinary robot mowers. It has four wheel drive, front wheel steering and a terrain-adaptive chassis, and Worx rates it for slopes up to 84%, about 40 degrees. It is wire-free, taking RTK corrections from the cloud with no antenna to mount, and is rated for about half an acre. Steep, uneven or terraced lawns are its natural home.
- Navigation
- RTK Cloud + vision, no wire
- Rated area
- About 2,000 m² (1/2 acre)
- Max slope
- 84%
- Cutting width
- 22 cm
- Cutting height
- 40 to 90 mm
In its favour
- Rated for slopes up to 84% (about 40 degrees), far beyond typical two wheel drive robots.
- RTK Cloud means no antenna to mount, and the maker says camera navigation takes over in shade.
- Find My Landroid GPS tracking with remote lock is included, according to the listing.
Good to know
- At 29 kg it is heavy to lift over steps or carry to storage for winter.
- The lowest cutting height is about 40 mm, higher than some robots, so it suits relaxed rather than very short lawns.
Our take
Handling steep ground
Most robot mowers in this comparison stop between 35% and 50%. Worx says the Vision Cloud keeps all four wheels planted over uneven ground, raised borders and transitions, while front wheel steering turns smoothly without tearing turf. On a slope, scuffing at the turn is often the first sign a robot is struggling, so that steering design matters.
Navigation without an antenna
RTK usually needs a base station in the garden. Here the corrections come from the cloud, with no local antenna and, Worx says, no extra cloud fees. When trees or buildings block satellites, V-SLAM sensor fusion with the cameras takes over. Since cloud RTK needs a data connection, check mobile coverage across your garden. Vision AI maps the lawn automatically and recognises obstacles using a neural network that Worx says processes up to 10 trillion operations per second.
Edges, patterns and security
The mower can drive over edges that are level with the lawn and cut tight along fixed borders, and a Cut-to-Zero offset blade gets closer still. Stripe patterns include parallel, checkerboard and diamond, plus a natural look. Find My Landroid uses GPS and cellular connectivity to locate the mower even when it is off, with alerts and remote lock. The app supports unlimited zones, custom paths and no-go areas.
Practical limits
Amazon lists it at 29 kg, so carrying it to winter storage is a two-hand job. Cutting height runs from about 40 mm to 90 mm, which rules out a very short lawn. The battery life is listed as 41 minutes. On a small flat plot, the Worx Landroid WR130E does the job with far less machine.
Verdict
Choose the Vision Cloud for a steep or uneven lawn up to about half an acre, especially if you want to avoid both wire and antenna. On gentler gardens, the Mammotion Yuka 1500 adds leaf sweeping, and the Husqvarna Automower 430 V offers 50% slope capability from Husqvarna's own range.
